Starbucks Bottled S'mores Frappuccino, reviewed
S’mores are always a treat during the summer and this summer is no exception. Starbucks added a S’mores Frappuccino to their seasonal menu that has been winning fans left and right. They also added a S’mores flavor to their bottled Frappuccino line and, as a life-long s’mores fan, I couldn’t resist giving it a try so that I could compare the two.

The blended Frappuccino has a layer of marshmallow flavored whipped cream and chocolate fudge in the cup, so you really get all the flavors of a s’more as you sip the drink through your straw. For me, this layering – which is reminiscent of the layers in a “real” s’more – is what makes the Frappuccino a winner. The bottled version doesn’t have those layers, but it still manages to capture the all the flavors of a s’more inside the bottle. The creamy drink has a strong graham cracker flavor with a hint of caramelized sugar, a whiff of marshmallow and a chocolate finish. The flavor of the graham cracker is surprisingly distinct, which is what really helps to separate this from a mocha Frappuccino. It’s a good blend and should satisfy your craving for a s’mores Frappuccino if you can’t get a freshly blended one right away. If you’re drinking this at home, I recommend serving it ice cold and dressing it up with some whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
