I loved the old Java Chip ice cream - it was SO rich and creamy - but Starbucks just switched manufacturers recently and I find the new version to be thin tasting, almost like ice milk, gritty, and the chocolate chips are a bit waxy. Whatever was changed from the original recipe was a mistake. Was is changed to cheaper ingredients? I waited 4 months for Java Chip to be back in stores and it was a big disappointment. I will not buy it again.
